3rd Annual Harvest Moon Frightfest 2014

By Harvest Moon Twin Drive In (other events)

3 Dates Through Sep 14, 2014

ABOUT ABOUT

Frightfest is an annual tradition where we bring out the spirit of Halloween a month early(since we are closed in October due to uncertain weather conditions). Each year, we've worked hard to make it bigger and better than the past year, and we are doing that once again in 2014.

Frightfest, held the 2nd weekend in September each year, is a full weekend of fun and mischief for people of all ages. The essentials: Family-friendly Halloween/monster themed double feature movies on screen 1, and the combo of a new Horror movie and a classic on screen 2 as a double feature. We give out free Halloween candy(for everyone) and glow bracelets for the kids. We decorate the whole place in spooky props, and have zombies roving around the lot before the movie and at intermission. We also have a costume contest for both adults and kids where we give out some nice prizes and see some really fun creativity.

So what's new in 2014 to punch it up a notch? Glad you asked!
We're bringing out a favorite Halloween tradition and hosting 'Trunk or Treating' this year, and opening the gates early so everyone can come enjoy more drive-in and get in the trick or treating. How do you do 'Trunk or Treat'? People bring out there vehicles and dress them up in decorations and themes and hand out candy to the kids that stop by. We're going to be judging the Trunk or Treat vehicles and giving away some awesome prizes such as gift certificates for local businesses, pizza, food items and even trophies!

Also new this year: Our movie themed haunted trail "Walk of the Dead". We're pulling monsters, ghosts, ghouls, and zombies out of your favorite horror movie and TV scenes and putting them together in a maze that comes to life after dark. I can't give you all the clues, but think 'Walking Dead', Child's Play, Saw, Halloween, and Nightmare on Elm street for starters.

We are also working to bring out some actors that have starred in some of those films, or famous horror celebrities.(it's a work in progress, so no guarantees yet)

The best news? You get all of this for a single admission ticket! Double Features, free stuff, haunted trail, contests, and so much more.

This presale is for the upcoming Weekend's features only. We limit the amount of reserved spots to 10 per screen and presale admissions to 200 per screen(our theatre holds over 1800 people total). Because of the large crowds expected, and the additional expenses of bringing in second features, prices will be different than usual. All tickets MUST be printed out and scanned at the gate when attending a showing.  Children age 3 and under are free at our theatre. Pick how many tickets you want, Tickets are valid for a single night of your choice ONLY. If you cannot attend the night of your choice, you MUST contact us and let us know your alternate night of choice: Friday, Saturday, or Sunday on the date you originally chose to attend. Early admission is not allowed, you will still have to wait in the entrance lane at the theatre. General Admission tickets do not guarantee you a good spot at the theatre for the night of your choice. ONLY 'Reserved Front Row' tickets will hold a guaranteed spot for your vehicle for show nights. The Reserved Front Row tickets include 1(ONE) admission and the reserved spot for a single night's feature. Others in the vehicle can either purchase General Admission tickets or tickets at the box office upon arrival.
